Trophy Logos Definition

Definition: Trophy logos are typically a row or grid of logos whose purpose is to enhance the credibility of a brand on their website, signage, or packaging.

The logos usually fall into three categories:

  • Marquee Clients – If a business sells to publicly traded companies, they’ll often list those just “below the fold.”
  • Top-Tier Press Mentions – Businesses will often do as “As seen in…” intro to a section of logos of major online or traditional newspapers and journals.
  • Partners – If a business partners or integrates, especially in an app store scenario, with other well-known brands, you’ll often see those logos.

Use It In a Sentence: I’d never heard of that company, but I see Microsoft in their trophy logos, so they must be good.
