SDRs (Sales Development Representatives) Definition

Definition: Professionals within an organization who are responsible for cold outreach. When properly trained, they avoid one and done and use a combination of calling, emailing, and social network connections to get a prospect’s attention.

With a more complex sales product, the are typically focused on “qualifying” a lead, which creates a prospect.

That prospect is then often handed off to an Account Executive for closing.

Use It In a Sentence: The company’s success in the last quarter can be attributed to the dedicated efforts of its SDRs, who managed to set a ton of qualified demos.
